Sometimes it is easier to hide out.

Often it is easier to check the WOD and crawl back into bed.

Thrusters aren’t your thing anyway. It’s too cold to be running out there. Box jumps scare you.

Your least favorite lift is the Snatch, why not at least get some extra Zzz’s?

Because just being there, just getting out of bed and getting dressed is more than half the battle.

Because you are always saying how you wish you could do this or lift that.

Because you want to crush your Fran time the next time it shows up.

Because you have goals on your list waiting impatiently to be checked off.

That’s why not.

Showing up is the hardest part. For the rest of it you are surrounded by good people and bumping music.

Once you get there, the feeling of black mats under you, cold iron in your hands and the view of your name in blue expo on the board will push you through. 

Once you get there you only have to workout. 

Plain and simple, for an hour, that is all you have to do.

But yet, you still have to show up.
